Mojo Kenpo is intentionally small. That's not an apology and it's not manufactured exclusivity. It's a practical choice about the kind of school we want to be.
Classes meet through Peak Community & Wellness Center rather than in a large dedicated martial-arts facility. Lower overhead helps keep tuition reasonable and reduces the pressure to build enrollment simply to support a building.
The result is room for relatively small classes, personal instruction, an accessible head instructor, and a training environment in which students can become genuinely invested in one another's development.

Students should not feel anonymous. Instruction at Mojo can respond to the person learning...their questions, their movement, their strengths, their limitations, and the stage of understanding they have reached.
That does not mean the system changes for convenience. It means the instructor has enough room to help each student understand the system and gradually make its principles functional.
Mojo Kenpo is a business, but it is specifically structured so that the financial requirements of a large facility do not dictate the size or character of the school.

TRAINING PARTNERS MATTER
A partner is not merely a target or a body occupying the same floor. Students help one another learn distance, timing, targeting, reaction, control, and adaptation. As skill develops, practice can include controlled contact and appropriate resistance without confusing realism with recklessness.
Training partners are not opponents. They share responsibility for one another's safety and development.
The school takes the Art seriously without asking newcomers to arrive already experienced, confident, fit, or flexible. A complete beginner who is willing to learn and contribute can be every bit as serious as an experienced martial artist.

Mojo Kenpo does not require a long-term training contract. Students should continue because they find value in the Art, the instruction, and the people with whom they train...not because paperwork forces them to remain.
That same respect applies before someone begins. Mojo Kenpo is not right for everyone, and it doesn't need to be.
Come experience what we do. Participate if you're comfortable, observe if you prefer, and ask questions. Some visitors will recognize exactly what they'they've been looking for. Others will choose a different path. Either decision is yours to make.
